Chelsea FC caretaker coach Calum McFarlane believes that his team deserved to get at least a point from its English Premier League game against Fulham and not a loss.
Chelsea lost 2-1 to Fulham at Craven Cottage with goals from Raul Jimenez and Harry Wilson sandwiching Liam Delap’s consolation goal. Recently appointed Chelsea head coach following the exit of Enzo Maresca, Liam Rosenoir, watched the game in the stands.
He is expected to be on the sidelines for his first game in charge of the club when the Blues take on Charlton in the FA Cup Fourth Round on Saturday, January 10 at 20:00 GMT. Rosenoir served as head for RC Strasbourg and guided the team to finish seventh in the French Ligue 1 and qualify to compete in the Europa Conference League.

“Tough game. The red card [to Marc Cucurella in the 22nd minute] is a big factor and changes our game plan. We did that well other than the first goal. We reacted really well. In the second half we had so many opportunities and moments. I do [think we deserved something from this game], yeah” McFarlane said to the BBC after the loss.

Chelsea have dropped to eighth place in the standings after losing to Fulham.
