British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has paid a glowing tribute to his demised friends Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele.
Latz and Ghami passed away through a car accident that took place in Lagos, Nigeria while the pair were on holiday with Joshua following his much publicized fight with Youtuber turned boxer Jake Paul.
Joshua was in the car when the accident took place and suffered minor injuries and has moved back to England where he continues to recover from the accident. He attended the funeral for the pair on Sunday, January 4.
In a tribute posted on Instagram, Joshua reflected on the horrific incident and admitted that processing the death of his friends has been “tough”.
“Thank you for all the love and care you have shown my brothers.”

“I didn’t even realise how special they are. I’ll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men.”

“100% it’s tough for me, but I know it’s even tougher for their parents. I have a strong mind, and I believe God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers.”

Joshua’s eagerly awaited fight against fellow British heavyweight Tyson Fury is in immediate jeopardy in the wake of the accident.
