Despite bagging a win over Brighton and Hove Albion to maintain their lead atop the English Premier League standings, Arsenal FC captain Martin Odegaard says his team could have done better.
Arsenal beat Brighton 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium to climb back to the top of the league standings after closest challengers Manchester City beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 to temporarily take first place.
Odegaard scored the game’s opener with a strong strike to get the Gunners on course for another home win and the Arsenal captain shared his thoughts on the game and his goal to Sky Sports stating,
“It was a tough one in the end but I think we played a good game. We were dominant from the start, they got a bit of momentum towards the end but we got an important three points. We could have done better and not let them score like they did.”

“They got the momentum when they got the goal, got belief back, but we did well to defend. “I’ve been waiting for that one-the goal-, I’ve been working on my finishing a lot in training so I’m happy.”

Arsenal take on Aston Villa next on Tuesday, December 30.
