Husband of Tamale female nursing student speaks for the first time

[ad_1]

The husband of a married nursing student identified as Ramlatu has broken his silence after finding his wife in bed with her male colleague.

Speaking for the first time since the incident to a group of community elders, the visibly distressed husband recounted how a series of phone calls raised his suspicions and prompted him to return home earlier than planned, ultimately leading to the discovery that has since gone viral.

According to him, at about 3:00 p.m. on the day in question, his wife called to ask whether he would be returning home early or late.

He said he informed her that he would be coming home late. Moments later, he received a call from a friend who owns a provision shop, alerting him that his wife had also contacted him to ask whether her husband was at the shop.

The husband said the back-to-back calls immediately made him uneasy, prompting him to change his plans and head home without informing his wife.

Upon arriving at the house, he noticed a pair of unfamiliar slippers at the entrance but remained calm.

He walked inside and proceeded to the bedroom, where he found his wife and her male colleague together on his matrimonial bed.

He said he raised an alarm, which woke the pair, and they attempted to flee upon realising they had been caught.

According to his account, he managed to restrain the male colleague until neighbours and community members arrived, while his wife escaped from the house in the confusion.

Following the incident, the husband is demanding GHS 60,000 from the male student, a request he says has been submitted to the community’s traditional authorities as compensation for the humiliation and emotional distress he claims to have suffered.
