KENYA – A family in Ndakaini village in Gatanga, Murang’a county, is mourning the heartbreaking loss of a man and his wife.
The deceased, identified as Sammy Jonnes Ndichu and his wife, Nina Wambui Ndichu, tragically passed away on the same day, leaving their family devastated.
The news of their passing was shared by The Architects Alliance on Facebook, along with details of the burial and funeral arrangements.
The couple lost their lives in a road accident on December 12, along the Maai Mahiu-Naivasha route.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of one of our members, Arch. Sammy Jonnes Ndichu Mwangi, BORAQS Registration No. A2063, who passed on 12/12/25 in the afternoon, along with his loving wife, Nina Ann Wambui,” the post read.

Family and friends gathered to hold a memorial service in their honour on Wednesday, December 17, at PCEA Mt. Olives in Njathaini.
This was followed by a candlelight vigil at their home in Kiambu. As tributes poured in online, it was revealed that the couple shared more than just their love.
Sammy was born on April 23, 1993, while his beloved wife, Nina, was born on April 23, 1995.
The couple not only shared the same birthday but also tragically passed away on the same day and were buried on the same date.
Sammy and Nina were laid to rest on Friday, December 19, at their family home in Ndakaini village. They lrft behind their four-year-old son.
