The Super Eagles of Nigeria remain unbeaten in the ongoing 2025 AFCON, have the player with the most goal contributions in the competition in their ranks and have sealed qualification to the next round.

Nigeria made it two wins from two games by beating Tunisia 3-2 in an exciting game that had the West Africans almost blow away a 3-0 lead with Tunisia almost registering a wonderful comeback to mess the Nigerian party.

However, Nigeria survived thanks to goals from Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Wilfred Ndidi to clinch the win to qualify to the next round after beating Tanzania 2-1 in the opening round of games.

For Lookman and Osimhen, the game marked the perfect response to football legend Rigobert Song’s criticism that neither player is a world class player. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
